Summary

After you notify your counterparty about the RapidRatings process, your request is processed in the FHR Exchange. RapidRatings’ Member Services then sends the counterparty an introduction email with a secure link to create their account and submit up‑to‑date financial information. This guide explains each step your counterparty will complete, from registration through rating release.

Time to complete: Varies based on submission method and completeness
Who is this for: Clients who invite counterparties to RapidRatings and counterparties who receive the invitation
Applies to: RapidRatings FHR® Exchange (FHRX)

Before you begin (for Clients)

  • Ensure you’ve informed your counterparty that a RapidRatings request is coming.

  • Provide accurate counterparty contact details (name, title, email).

  • Let your counterparty know they will choose a disclosure level and that privacy/security information is presented during registration.

What the Counterparty Will Do — Step by Step

Step 1 — Introduction Email

  • The counterparty receives an introduction email from RapidRatings Member Services.

  • The email includes a secure link to start registration and submit financials.

Tip: If the email isn’t visible, ask them to check spam/junk and to whitelist RapidRatings emails.

Step 2 — FHRX Registration

  • The counterparty reviews and accepts the click‑through agreement.

  • They create an account and enter company details to complete registration.

  • Privacy & Security information is presented to explain how data is protected.

Step 3 — Non‑Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

  • The counterparty reviews NDA documentation, including options to control the level of disclosure (e.g., Full vs. Summary).

  • RapidRatings explains the treatment of private company data based on the selected disclosure level.

Important: The counterparty controls disclosure. They can update the disclosure level later if needed.

Step 4 — Account Creation Completed

  • The counterparty’s account is now active.

  • Clear instructions are provided for financial statement submission.

Step 5 — Select Membership (Choose One)

  • The member will have the option to proceed with basic or essential membership. No payment is needed with the "Basic" Membership

  • For additional information on the two tiers, please review the Basic vs Essential Membership article

Step 6 — Financial Statement Submission (Choose One)

  1. QuickSync (Preferred)

    • Securely link internal accounting/ERP to produce a rating.

    • No manual entry is required.

  2. Enter Your Own Financials (Template)

    • Download/complete the standard template and enter required fields OR manually enter the financial information.

    • If all required data are provided, the FHR report is generated automatically.

  3. Share Your Financial Statements (File Upload)

    • Upload PDF or other supported file types.

    • This is the most manual option and may require follow‑up for clarifications.

Best practice: Choose the method that yields the most complete and accurate data—QuickSync typically provides the fastest, cleanest path to rating.

Step 7 — Confirmation & Review

  • The counterparty sees a confirmation page once financials are submitted.

  • RapidRatings’ Data Analysis (DA) team reviews the submission.

  • If clarifications are needed, the DA team returns the request to the counterparty with specific questions.

  • If required, instructions are provided on how to update the disclosure level to Summary.

Step 8 — Post‑Rating Release

  • The counterparty receives an email notification when the rating is complete.

  • Members can sign in and access the homepage, with the following enabled:

    • FHR® and Summary Disclosure report access (as applicable)

    • Share Management

    • ActionPath creation

    • Search for Public Company Reports
