What are the different types of private company requests?
New Request: This company has not yet been rated on our platform.
Share Request: This company has been rated for another client of ours.
Refresh Request: This company has been previously rated for you, and you’re requesting an updated report.
What are the ways in which I can send my private company requests to Rapid Ratings?
If your company has private company outreach in your current contract, there are a couple of ways you can send the required data over to the Rapid Ratings' Client Services Data Operations Team. Depending on the size and scope of your program, you may want to consider applying a more automated approach to initiating requests.
Below are the means by which requests can be launched:
Manual emails
Automated
Macro Template
API
Manual Approach for Initiating Requests
Required Data for New and Share Requests:
To initiate a private company outreach request, we require two key items: an introduction letter and the contact information template.
Introduction Letter: This letter, sent by you to the company you wish to rate, should CC [email protected]. It introduces the counterparty to the private company outreach program and confirms the legitimacy of your request.
Contact Information Template: This template provides RapidRatings important contact information for both the counterparty you are looking to rate as well as the client relationship manager.
Required Data for Refresh Requests:
For a refresh request, since this counterparty has already been rated in our system and is familiar with the program, an introduction letter is not required to initiate the process. You can submit a refresh request using any of the following data points (only one is necessary, though you’re welcome to provide multiple if preferred):
Company Name
Rated As Name / Ticker
RRID
Additional Data to Provide (Not Required):
Updated Counterparty Contact
Updated Relationship Manager Contact
Unique ID (if applicable)
Note: For refresh requests, we are required to list the previous point of contact who submitted the financials in the outreach, as there can only be one account holder per company. If the account holder needs to be updated (left the company, on leave, etc.), please email [email protected], and our Member Services Team will make the necessary adjustments.
Any additional counterparty contacts you provide will be included in the request to ensure they remain informed.
We will also use the Relationship Manager details from the previous request unless a new Relationship Manager is specified in the refresh request.
Automated Approach for Initiating Requests
Macro-Enabled Excel Workbook
We recommend introducing a more automated approach, such as a macro-enabled Excel workbook, if your company’s private company outreach allotment exceeds 50 requests per contract year.
Macro templates are Excel-based files with the introduction letter already embedded. Once you enter the relevant information, simply click the "Send Intro" and "Send Macro Workbook" buttons. Both the introduction letter and the completed workbook will be sent simultaneously to [email protected] and the counterparty.
API
API requires an additional fee so please ensure you discuss this with your Client Success Manager to ensure this option is feasible for your company.
With the request API, you can directly upload private company contact information into our system via your internal dashboards. However, the introduction letter must still be sent separately and manually, just as you would for a new or share request.
Request Turnaround Times
Launch Process by the CSDO Team:
Once we receive your request, the typical turnaround time for importing it into our system is 2-3 business days. Please note that this may vary, especially during peak periods.
If we're unable to import the request due to missing data or the need for clarifications, a member of our team will reach out to you via email. Any delays in providing the required information (or "kickbacks") will also slow down the process, as we need complete details to proceed with the outreach.
