What is a Safe Number?
The Safe Number is CreditSafe’s unique identifier for a company record.
What data is available in RiskPulse?
Available data varies by country and company type, but may include:
Local and International Risk Scores
Company identity and status
Financial and trade payment data
Legal filings and corporate structure
Director and ownership information
Additional details may be available via API or PDF reports, depending on jurisdiction.
Why do some PDF reports look different?
In certain countries, CreditSafe sources reports from local providers. In those cases, the original third‑party report format is displayed for transparency.
Does RiskPulse identify private equity ownership?
RiskPulse provides corporate hierarchy and Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) data where available. However, private equity ownership can be difficult to identify due to complex, multi‑layered holding structures and varying disclosure requirements by country.
Data completeness varies significantly by jurisdiction, with stronger disclosure typically available in the UK, the Netherlands, and parts of Scandinavia.
Why is a company not rated in RiskPulse?
A company may not have a RiskPulse rating when sufficient or eligible information is not available to generate a rating. This may occur when:
Financial statements are too old
The company has been liquidated, wound up, or dissolved
A petition has been filed
In these cases, the company may display No Rating in RiskPulse.
Can I request a company that I can't find in RiskPulse?
RiskPulse sources company data from local providers in certain markets. Data availability and the ability to request additions vary by country and local provider.
Dedicated local data teams support Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
If you cannot find a company in RiskPulse, contact Client Services to determine whether additional data may be available or whether the company can be requested.
How can I get more information about Negative Press referenced in a company’s score?
The Negative Press indicator reflects CreditSafe’s overall risk assessment and does not necessarily correspond to a specific news article.
The RiskPulse PDF does not display the underlying press article or source information. The indicator reflects risk signals that meet CreditSafe’s criteria for Negative Press, which may include information from third-party data sources and other risk indicators.
As a result, a company may have a Negative Press indicator even when no specific article or headline is available in the report.
