Thomson Reuters is our data vendor that provides public company financial data.
- The data we release for public companies regularly has an accuracy rate greater than 99.5%. Where there are errors, most of these are data discrepancies with limited impact to the final risk category
- Very often, these are audited statements released by the public company themselves that have already passed Thomson Reuters' initial screening
- We then have an additional Quality Assurance process (both automatic and manual) that the data must go through before an FHR is produced
- While we do not claim to be forensic accountants, the controls are in place to flag any noticeable shifts, and flags will be reviewed by an analyst before a rating is produced
We typically update public company ratings within 1 or 2 days of the release of new financial statements. If you search for a company on the Company Search page, you'll see when we next expect to update the rating
